Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. What additional requirements are needed to join this league?

To participate in the Bullitt Central Youth Football & Cheer Association (BCYFCA), your child must be enrolled in one of the Bullitt Central feeder schools.

Eligible schools include:

  • Shepherdsville Elementary
     
  • Cedar Grove Elementary
     
  • Roby Elementary
     
  • Bernheim Middle School
     
  • Bullitt Lick Middle School
     
  • Lebanon Junction Elementary School
     

If your child attends any of these schools, they are eligible to join BCYFCA.

2.How much does it cost to participate in BCYFCA games?

Game-day admission helps support fields, referees, equipment, and league operations. Our pricing is:


Regular Season

  • Students: Free
     
  • Parents/Adults: $3
     

Playoffs

  • Students: Free
     
  • Parents/Adults: $8
     

Note: Prices apply to all BCYFCA-hosted events. Away-game pricing may vary based on the hosting organization.

3. What sports can train here?

 Primarily football and cheer, but also:

-Speed & agility
-Strength & conditioning
-Off-season development
-Multi-sport athletes wanting performance training

 

4. What equipment is in the weight room?

Our weight room includes:

-Full power racks
-Platforms
-Dumbbells, benches, bars
-Sleds, plyometrics, speed tools
-Team-branded lifting stations
 

5. Is strength training safe for younger athletes?

Yes. We have tons of research to back up our methods. All youth strength activity is age-appropriate, focused on:

Movement technique
Body-weight strength
Stability
Speed & coordination

 Light weights
 

6. Will youth football teams practice indoors?

Yes β€” scheduled indoor time will be available for all grade-level teams during the season and offseason.

7. Can the turf be used for cheer?

Absolutely. Cheer teams will have set availability for:

Stunts
Tumbling
Conditioning
Routine practice
Weather backup days
 

8. Who supervises training sessions?

All practices and workouts are supervised by:

Certified coaches
BCHS strength staff
Approved volunteers who have passed background checks

9. What safety measures are in place?

 Padded turf
Injury-prevention training
Proper weight-room instruction
Hydration protocols
Emergency equipment on-site
 

10. Does it cost extra to use the indoor facility?

Indoor access is included with:

Youth football registration
Cheer registration

**Some optional specialty programs (speed clinics, camps) may have separate fees.

14. How do you ensure strength training is safe for young athletes?

 We use:

Proper form teaching
Progressive load (age-appropriate)
Body-weight + technique before weight
Certified coaches
BCHS-approved training cycles

15. What is the overall mission of this program?

To build a unified feeder system that trains athletes from ages 4–18 under the same standard, culture, and system as Bullitt Central High School β€” developing stronger athletes, better students, and future leaders.

16. Why are we building this entire structure around Bullitt Central?

Because consistency wins. When all levels run the same:

17. Why does Central need a state-of-the-art indoor facility?

18. Is the equipment the same style used by college programs?

Yes β€” our racks, platforms, bands, and layout mirror NCAA Division I standards.

19. Will all age groups train the same way?

 They’ll train under the same system, but at different developmental levels.

20. How are coaches selected?

Coaches must:

-Pass background checks

- Be approved by the BCFCA Board

-Complete training with BCHS staff

-Attend coaching clinics

-Commit to our culture and standards
 

21. What is the Central Indoor Training Facility?

It is a state-of-the-art indoor turf field and performance weight room built to provide year-round training for youth through high-school athletes in the Bullitt Central feeder system.

22. Will coaches be evaluated?

Yes β€” we have a structured coach evaluation process for accountability, safety, and development.

23.How will this benefit my child directly?
