Competition days are one of the most exciting and rewarding parts of the cheer season. Our athletes will perform their carefully prepared routines in front of judges and audiences while proudly representing the BCYFCA Central Cougars Cheer Program.
These events showcase the dedication, teamwork, and hard work our athletes have put into practices and training throughout the season.
Competition days typically involve a full schedule that may include team warm-ups, performance times, awards ceremonies, and opportunities to support other teams in our program. Families should be prepared for competition events to last several hours depending on the size of the event and the competition schedule.
Athletes are expected to arrive on time, fully prepared, and in full competition uniform unless otherwise instructed by their coaches. Once athletes arrive, they will remain with their team and coaches throughout the event to ensure safety, maintain team unity, and stay focused on their performance.
In addition to performing, athletes will also participate in team warm-ups, final run-throughs of their routines, and group preparation before taking the competition floor. Coaches will guide athletes through each step of the day to ensure they feel confident and ready to perform.
Competitions are also an opportunity for athletes to demonstrate sportsmanship, teamwork, and pride in their program. We encourage athletes to support their teammates, celebrate accomplishments, and represent the Central Cougars with positivity and respect.
Families are always encouraged to attend competitions and cheer on our athletes. These events create unforgettable memories and allow our community to celebrate the growth and success of our cheerleaders throughout the season.
