Sideline cheer supports football games, while competition cheer focuses on routines, stunts, etc. performed at cheer competitions.
We understand that conflicts may occasionally happen. If your athlete needs to miss practice or a game, please notify your head team coach or our Director of Cheer Operations (Amber Ackerman) as soon as possible.
Regular attendance helps ensure the team is prepared and performing safely.
Communication is typically shared through:
• Team group messaging apps (which we will be utilizing the 'Band' App) for these communications
• Program social media pages
• In-Person Updates at Practices
Parents should make sure their contact information is up to date during registration.
Cheerleaders should wear comfortable athletic clothing to practice, such as athletic shorts, leggings, and a t-shirt or tank top. Athletes should also wear their white cheer shoes and bring a water bottle to stay hydrated during practice.
Parents are not required to stay during practice; however, they should remain nearby and available in case their athlete needs to leave early or if practice ends ahead of schedule. Younger athletes may feel more comfortable with a parent close by.
Football games are typically played rain or shine. If severe weather causes a delay or cancellation, updates will be communicated to families by the organization or coaching staff as soon as possible.
Cheerleaders should always come prepared for changing weather conditions on game day.
Parents and family members are encouraged to sit in the designated spectator areas or bleachers during games. For safety and team organization, only coaches, athletes, and authorized staff are permitted in the team sideline areas.
We appreciate families helping us maintain a safe and organized game day environment for all athletes.
